Therefore, when discussing maps and such, State of Decay and Breakdown will be very similar, whereas Lifeline will be wholly different. Of note: Lifeline is very different from the other two modes, and inhabits a completely new space. Lifeline is much more of a race against the clock. This mode is more structured, and after a set length of time your base comes under attack from a horde of zombies that you must fend off in order to protect the VIPs and yourself. You control a small military enclave and landing zone, tasked with saving certain VIPs in the city of Danforth who may or may not know how to stop the virus. Lifeline is a separate game within the same world. The goal in terms of achievements is to complete a set of challenges, some of which can only be performed at higher (and harder) levels. With each level resources become more scarce. to a valley that looks very similar to the one you just left. Once you've found it (and repaired it), you and a handpicked group escape. Your goal is to find an RV in order to escape the valley. ![]() You begin by selecting a random character and finding refuge with a nearby enclave. Breakdown is a play on the main game, but this time there is no story. ![]()
